Halftime show planned for '14 SB
The NFL on Tuesday refuted a report that there were no plans for a 2014 Super Bowl halftime show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The New York Post reported earlier Tuesday, citing unnamed sources, that there wasn't a plan for a halftime show because the league couldn't determine how to hold the event in the cold-weather climate.
But NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the New York Daily News that a halftime show is planned.
"We've planned for it, we've mapped it out and there will be a pregame and a halftime show," he told the newspaper.
He also posted a message on Twitter to assure fans that a halftime show would be staged.
"re: erroneous reports #SB48 halftime show next year. Chill out. pregame & halftime shows in-stadium," he tweeted.
