Alex Scarborough and Greg Ostendorf discuss the hospitalization of Alabama athletic director Mal Moore.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- University of Alabama athletic director Mal Moore has been hospitalized with a pulmonary ailment.
Moore was admitted to Duke University Medical Center on Wednesday night for follow-up tests.
Alabama released a statement that read: "Coach Moore is resting comfortably and continues to undergo tests required to further evaluate his condition."
Earlier Wednesday he was treated at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham.
Moore, 73, has been associated with the program for more than 50 years dating back to his playing days under football coach Paul Bryant.
It is the second hospitalization for Moore in less than a year. He was taken to a Tuscaloosa hospital in August for treatment of an irregular heartbeat, where he stayed two days before his release.
Moore, who was named to the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame last year, has overseen multiple facilities upgrades in recent years. A new $9 million strength and conditioning facility for the football team was opened last month.
