Record 303 penalty minutes after brawl
A brawl at the end of Friday's women's hockey game between Ohio State and Bemidji State led to 19 players being disqualified and set an NCAA record for penalty minutes in a game.
Ohio State had 10 players disqualified and Bemidji State nine after an altercation at the final whistle brought the game's total penalty minutes to 303. That total set a record for men's and women's games in either Division I or Division III.

There had been only 16 penalty minutes before the fight.
Nine players on each team were disqualified for fighting, and the Buckeyes' Madison Marcotte was ejected for face-masking. Ohio State's Julia McKinnon received an instigation minor.
Bemidji State won the game 3-2 and Ohio State coach Nate Handrahan said his players took exception to their opponents celebrating on the Buckeyes' home ice.
"All I know is there were players taking liberties with our players. There was some chippiness throughout the course of the game," Handrahan said. "I've got to believe that our players, and as a staff, as a program, we're not happy with teams celebrating on our ice surface and going off the ice yipping and hooting and hollering. What happened at the end of the game doesn't happen often in women's hockey. But I can tell you this: We're happy to at least see our girls show some fight and some spirit."
Each disqualification came with a one-game suspension, and the teams each played with just 10 skaters in a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Bemidji State won the shootout 1-0.
Friday's penalty-minutes record broke the previous high of 268 set by Maine and Boston University's men's teams in 1994. The previous women's record for penalty minutes was 83.
Ohio State's 158 penalty minutes also set the single-team NCAA record, breaking the 150 the Buckeyes' men's team had in 1981. Ohio State broke its NCAA record for women's single-team penalty minutes, set at 57 in 2003.
Ohio State also set the women's record for penalties in a game with 26, and both teams combined for 49 penalties, another women's record.
