KOENIGSSEE, Germany -- Olympic and world champion Kaillie Humphries of Canada won a women's bobsled World Cup and handed German rival Cathleen Martini her first defeat on the Koenigssee course in three years Friday.

Martini beat Humphries last week in Altenberg, but the Canadian and brakewoman Chelsea Valois powered down in snowy conditions for a comfortable win, their sixth victory in seven races this season.

Sandra Kiriasis of Germany was third.

Humphries finished in 1 minute, 43.07 seconds for the two runs, beating Martini by 0.42 seconds.

Elana Meyers and Aja Evans finished eighth, while Lolo Jones and Jazmine Fenlator were 10th.

The Koenigssee course is the oldest artificial ice track in the world.
