Barmes, Hawpe help Rockies split with Marlins, who won first game in a rout
MIAMI -- Jorge De La Rosa spared the Colorado Rockies from another doubleheader sweep.
Two weeks after De La Rosa won the second game of a doubleheader against the New York Mets, the Rockies starter shut down the Florida Marlins 7-3 for a split Sunday night.The Marlins won the opener 10-3 behind homers from Hanley Ramirez and Chris Coghlan and a two-run single by Chris Volstad in a five-run second inning.Fast Facts
• In the first game, Hanley Ramirez went 3-for-5 to record his seventh straight multihit game. He had only one hit in the second game. He has now hit in 12 straight games, going 27-for-59 during the streak.
• In the first game, Chris Coghlan hit a three-run home run and now has 11 RBIs in his last nine games.
• The Marlins, who have had at least 10 hits in 13 straight games, have won three straight and eight of their last nine games. They are only the third team to have 10 hits in 13 straight games in the last 55 years, joining the 1997 White Sox and 1999 Red Sox.
• The Rockies struck out 15 times in the nightcap, matching their franchise record for most times striking out in a nine-inning win.

Marlins 1B Nick Johnson left the first game in the top of the second with a right hamstring strain. Johnson said he was hurt running out a fly in his only at-bat in the first. Gload moved from right field to first base and Jeremy Hermida took over in right. ... Ross went a combined 6 for 9 in the two games, setting a Florida record for hits in a doubleheader. Josh Willingham held the previous record with five July 30, 2006. ... Ramirez's home run off Cook was the first allowed by a Rockies starter in five games.
