Which Grizzlies team shows up in Game 1?

Will Memphis play like the team that was the West's No. 2 seed for much of the season or the one that slipped to No. 5? Portland finds out tonight in Game 1.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers downplays his role, but there were two times when he nearly had a hand in unknowingly derailing what became a dynasty.

From where will Brow's help come?

The Pelicans received one of the most dominant scoring debuts ever, but the uncertain status of Tyreke Evans may leave Anthony Davis with little help.

How The West Will Be Won

This season's Western Conference might be the best the game has ever seen. Want to reach the promised land? You'll have to survive the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

1 of the reasons Doc Rivers thinks it's hard to repeat as champs is "some (players) never come off the trophy tour."

Things are looking Grizzly for Portland

Beno Udrih's evolution into a perpetual motion device is still on track, as he has 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting. Memphis has held Damian Lillard to 3 points and 2 assists midway through the second quarter as the Grizzlies' lead hovers comfortably in double digits. Follow live

Blazers are on restriction

Portland's shooting woes have been especially bad everywhere except right at the rim, as Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge can attest. The two Blazers starts are a combined 0-for-11 outside the restricted area as the Grizzlies continue to cruise. Follow live

No answer for Beno from Blazers

Beno Udrih has 8 points off the bench, all on jumpers, to help the Grizzlies to a 10-point lead after the first. Portland's 25% shooting ties a season low for a quarter, and the Blazers' 15 points tops their worst quarter of the year by just 3 points. Follow live

Atlanta, Korver carve out win

Kyle Korver scored a game-high 21 points in the Hawks' 99-92 win over the Nets. Atlanta is 5-0 against Brooklyn this season and has won 5 of its past 6 Game 1s.

Tony Allen returns for Grizzlies

After missing 3 weeks as he recovered from a hamstring injury, Allen has checked in for the Grizzlies with less than 5 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Follow live

Great win for the home team tonight Korver red hot from 3 as always great ball movement now that's hawks basketball

Is good start a bad omen for Hawks?

You'd think that it's always a good thing to win Game 1, as the Hawks did against the Nets, but that hasn't been the case for Atlanta lately. Each of the last 3 times the Hawks won the first game of a postseason series, Atlanta went on to lose that series (2011 second round, 2012 first round, 2014 first round).

Randolph took a blow in the mouth on that first basket against Aldridge and has a cut. Been bleeding for 4mins before officials noticed

Grizzlies, Blazers set to slog it out

Is Memphis ready to get back to playoff form after struggling since the All-Star break? "The thing about flipping switches is some people can do it, some people cannot," coach Dave Joerger said. "But generally when you try to do it and do not have a consistency behind you ... it can be short-lived." Follow live

Hawks fend off Nets in Game 1

Brooklyn had the ball with 26 seconds remaining down just 5, but Atlanta shut down the Nets' after the timeout and secured a 99-92 win. The Atlanta crowd vociferously booed former Hawk Joe Johnson for the entire game. Box score
