NEWARK, N.J. -- Chris Flores scored 23 points and made a layup with two seconds left to help the New Jersey Institute of Technology rally and beat New Hampshire 69-67 Wednesday night in the first meeting between the two programs.

NJIT (2-2) led 29-27 with 3:41 left in the first half but watched New Hampshire close the period with eight straight points to go into halftime up 35-29.

New Hampshire (2-2) stretched its lead to as much as seven, 57-50, in the second half but NJIT rallied to take its first lead of the half, 67-66, behind two Flores free throws.

New Hampshire's Ferg Myrick was fouled on the other end but made just 1 of 2 free throws, tying the game at 67-all and setting up Flores' game-winning layup.

Through four games, NJIT has held its opposition to just 34.1 percent shooting (84 of 246) from the floor.
