BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Jordan Dykstra scored 17 points and South Dakota State kept up its home dominance Saturday, beating Nebraska-Omaha 78-63 in its Summit League opener.

Dykstra was 7 of 11 from the floor, including three 3-pointers. Tony Fiegen added 16 points and nine rebounds, and Nate Wolters and Brayden Carlson had 13 points apiece for the Jackrabbits (6-2), who led by as many as 31 en route to winning their 21st consecutive home game.

John Karhoff had 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting for the Mavericks (2-7, 0-2), Summit League newcomers this season. Justin Simmons and CJ Carter added 10 apiece. Nebraska-Omaha committed 22 turnovers.

Chad White, whose 3-pointer in SDSU's last game kept the Jackrabbits' home winning streak alive, was held to four points Saturday, but his heroics weren't necessary this time. SDSU didn't trail after the game's early minutes, led 56-28 at halftime and coasted from there.
