Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
NEW YORK -- Khalif Wyatt had never been in Madison Square Garden, let alone played there.
The Philadelphia native left the building on Saturday after scoring a career-high 33 points and being the key to Temple beating No. 3 Syracuse 83-79 in the first Chevrolet Gotham Classic."I always wanted to play here because all the great players had a chance to play here," the 6-foot-4 senior said. "This was a chance for us to show everyone that Temple is a real program."More From ESPN.com
To say Temple merely rebounded from its loss against Canisius with a win against Syracuse is to overlook a few key things, Dana O'Neil writes. Story

Research Notes
Temple has won its last 2 games vs Syracuse (also in 2002). This was the 30th meeting between the teams. It's the first time Temple has won consecutive games vs Syracuse since winning 4 in a row in 1953 and then 1969-71. | ||||||||||||
Perhaps with all the attention focused on getting win No. 900 there's a bit of a letdown in each coach's next game. All three coaches that have reached 900 wins have lost their next game. Krzyzewski's next game, the loss to Arizona, did come in the Sweet 16. [+]The Hangover Part 3 - Division-I Coaches to Reach 900 Wins

From Elias: Temple has 5 regular season wins vs top-10 teams as an unranked team since 2008-09 season. That's tied with UConn and St. John's for most such wins in that span. [+]Most Wins vs Top 10 Teams - As Unranked Team Since 2008-09 Season
