MUNCIE, Ind. -- Walter Offutt scored 17 points, T.J. Hall added 10 and Ohio rode a dominant first half to a 69-42 victory at Ball State on Wednesday night.
Offutt was 6 of 9 from the field, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, for the Bobcats (16-6, 7-1 Mid-American), who never trailed, led 34-14 at halftime and stretched their advantage to as many as 29 points in the second half.Jauwan Scaife scored 18 points for the Cardinals (8-13, 2-7), but no other Ball State player had more than six points. Majok Majok, the MAC's rebounding leader at 10.4 per game entering play, had nine rebounds but scored just four points. The Cardinals shot just 26.5 percent from the field and now has lost three straight and seven of eight.The victory was just Ohio's sixth in 24 games against Ball State in Muncie.
