NEW YORK -- Dwayne Evans posted a double-double and Cody Ellis scored 22 points off the bench to help Saint Louis down Atlantic 10 Conference-foe Fordham 90-73 Wednesday for its fifth straight win.
Evans finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Ellis made 6 of 12 shots, all from 3-point range, in 26 minutes of action. Jordair Jett added 14 points and Grandy Glaze chipped in 10 for Saint Louis, which led wire to wire.Mandell Thomas paced Fordham (6-17, 2-6) with 22 points and Travion Leonard had 12.Thomas' layup 2 minutes into the second half trimmed the deficit to five, 44-39, but Saint Louis used a 9-3 run to pull away. The Rams never got any closer than five.Saint Louis (17-5, 6-2) outscored Fordham 44-32 in the paint and turned 12 Ram turnovers into 17 points. The Billikens dished out a season-high 20 assists with just five turnovers.
