NEWARK, N.J. -- The road hasn't been the best of places for No. 6 Syracuse, and the chances of another detour loomed against struggling Seton Hall until senior guard Brandon Triche took over.
Triche scored a career-high 29 points to go with six rebounds and five assists, leading Syracuse to a tougher-than-expected 76-65 victory on Saturday night."Brandon was aggressive tonight and that's the way we need him to play," coach Jim Boeheim said after the Orange (21-4, 9-3 Big East) rebounded from a loss at Connecticut earlier this week and remained tied with Marquette and Georgetown for first place in the Big East. "He kept us in it early and then made the big plays in the end. He had an unbelievable game."Darcy: Yeah, That's About Right
With Syracuse and Seton Hall headed their separate ways it was fitting that the Orange closed the seried with a win, Kieran Darcy writes. Blog

Research Notes
This season, Syracuse is 1-3 in games where Michael Carter-Williams recorded 4 or fewer assists, including last night's loss at Connecticut, where Carter-Williams recorded his season-low 1 assist. All three of those losses have come on the road in conference play (at Villanova, at Pittsburgh, at Connecticut).
Carter-Williams is averaging almost 4 fewer assists on the road than at home in conference play. He is shooting less than 30 percent from the field, whereas in the Carrier Dome, Carter-Williams is shooting more than 40 percent from both the field and from 3-point range.
