New Orleans scored 14 unanswered points to take a 33-16 lead with 7:50 remaining in the first half. The Mustangs (7-23) committed six of their 18 first-half turnovers during that stretch

Cory Dixon scored 14 points for the Privateers, Eddie Denard and Rarlensee Nelson had 11 points apiece, and Kevin Hill scored 10 points.

Nelson also had 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals in 29 minutes.
