MVP: Adreian Payne made a lot of money in the win. He finished with 14 points (7-for-14), 10 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Spartans into the Sweet 16.
X factor: Gary Harris (23 points) got hot early. He went 4-for-7 from the 3-point line and helped the Spartans separate from the Tigers.
That was...toughness: The Spartans punched the Tigers in the mouth early. Memphis is talented and athletic. But it couldn't match Michigan State's toughness.
