• Before the tournament, MGM gave 2,000 to 1 odds for FGCU to win the tournament. The Eagles' odds are now 40 to 1. The Las Vegas Hotel said it has one bettor who placed $10 on FGCU to win its region at 1,000 to 1.
• FGCU coach Andy Enfield is in the second year of a five-year contract that pays him $157,500 a year. He got a $5,000 bonus for reaching the tournament and $10,000 for getting into the Sweet 16.
• FGCU made the Sweet 16 only 591 days after being granted full Division I status.
• FGCU brought in additional servers to host its website FGCU in case it won Sunday. The servers still crashed, and came back up about 10 minutes after the game ended.
