RALEIGH, N.C. -- T.J. Warren scored 23 points to help North Carolina State beat Campbell 81-66 on Saturday night.

Ralston Turner added 13 points for the Wolfpack (2-1), who shot 54 percent from the floor.

Anthony Barber and Desmond Lee scored 11 points apiece for N.C. State, which won despite making just 2 of 12 free throws.

N.C. State scored on nine consecutive possessions down the stretch as part of a 20-7 run to break open a tight game.

Darius Leonard scored 17 points to lead Campbell (2-1).

D.J. Mason had 12 points, Luke Moyer had 11 and Leek Leek 10 for the Camels.

Campbell shot 62 percent in the second half, chipping away at an N.C. State lead that grew to 15 points just after halftime.

The Camels trailed 54-49 after a 3-pointer by Luke Moyer with 9:38 to play as they tried to beat N.C. State for just the second time in 11 all-time meetings.

The Wolfpack responded by turning up their defensive intensity.

After Moyer made a pair of free throws to bring Campbell within 59-53 with seven minutes remaining, Campbell turned over the ball on five of its next six possessions.

N.C. State converted all five turnovers into points via two layups and three dunks.

Warren had two of those dunks on consecutive possessions. He threw down a two-handed slam and then rattled home a transition lob from Freeman to give N.C. State a 72-56 lead with 4:17 left to play.

The Wolfpack led 36-26 at halftime after shooting 50 percent from the floor and scoring nearly two-thirds of its points inside.

N.C. State created early separation with an 11-2 run 5 1/2 minutes into the game. Warren sparked the spurt in transition, making a 3-pointer and a two-handed dunk on back-to-back possessions before Campbell's defense had time to get set.

Turner delivered a pair of jumpers from the left wing to cap the run, giving the Wolfpack a 19-9 lead with 11:30 to play in the first half.

The Camels closed to within 28-21 on a 3-pointer by Antwon Oliver, but N.C. State answered with six consecutive points to restore its double-digit cushion.

Campbell shot just 35 percent in the first half, including 3 of 11 on 3-pointers.
