BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Troy Joseph converted two free throws with 6 seconds left to allow LIU-Brooklyn to upset St. Francis, 69-68 Sunday.

Ben Mockford drilled a 3-pointer as time expired to pull St. Francis within one.

The loss knocked the Terriers (15-11, 6-5) out of a tie with Wagner for third place in the Northeast Conference standings and into a tie with Mount St. Mary's for fifth.

The Blackbirds led by nine, 53-44, midway through the second half but St. Francis climbed back with an 11-0 run to take the lead on a Brent Jones three-point play. Gerrell Martin's 3-pointer gave LIU-Brooklyn the lead for good with 7:25 left.

Landon Atterberry scored 20 points off the bench to lead the Blackbirds (8-16, 3-8), with Gilbert Parga and Martin adding 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Mockford finished with 17 points to lead St. Francis, with Jalen Cannon adding 15 and Brent Jones 13.
