MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Karvel Anderson scored 26 points as Robert Morris overcame a 10-point second half deficit to beat LIU Brooklyn 73-64 on Thursday.
The Blackbirds (8-17, 3-9 Northeast Conference) used an 11-point run, including a 3-pointer from Joel Hernandez, at the end of the first half to take a 39-29 lead into the intermission.
Robert Morris (17-11, 12-1) revered the tide late in the second half. Down by 10 with 6:53 left, the Colonials outscored LIU-Brooklyn 24-6 down the stretch to escape with the win -- and their 3 1/2 game lead in the Northeast Conference.
Brooklyn missed six of its last seven shots in the game.
