STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Marcus Burton scored 19 points and Orlando Parker added 16 with 10 rebounds as Wagner pulled away from Sacred Heart in the second half, posting a 74-62 victory on Thursday night.

Wagner (14-11, 8-4 Northeast Conference) scored 10 of the final 11 points in the first half, capped by a pair of layups from Parker and Burton, in taking a 34-27 lead over Sacred Heart (4-23, 1-11) into the break.

The Pioneers clawed back to within 4 points of the Seahawks and trailed 44-40 with 12:36 remaining. Feeling the pressure, Wagner ran away with the game using a 12-1 run to go up 56-41 on a Latif Rivers 3-pointer just past the midway point of the second period. Wagner maintained a big point advantage the remainder of the game.

Louis Montes was big for the Pioneers, finishing with 27 points and seven rebounds.
