PHOENIX -- Demetrius Walker scored a career-high 21 points as Grand Canyon throttled Western New Mexico 91-51 Saturday night.

Walker hit two straight 3-pointers to spark Grand Canyon (1-2) on a 22-4 run, opening a 33-15 lead with 3:41 left in the first half. The Antelopes led 37-23 at halftime.

The break didn't slow down Grand Canyon, which ripped the game open with a 27-4 run to start the half. Killian Larson added 18 points and 14 rebounds while Blake Davis scored 12 and grabbed a career-high 13 boards. Jeremy Adams pitched in a career-high 14 points.

The Mustangs, a Division II program, only made three field goals in the first ten minutes of the second half. They were held to an ice-cold 24 percent (13 of 54) shooting for the game. Steven Loucks led the team with 10 points.
