    Associated Press

NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Jalan West scored 20 points and added 10 assists to lift Northwestern State to a 107-100 win over Niagara on Saturday.

West, who was 6 of 11 from the field, was among five Demons hitting double digits in the win, which snapped a three-game losing streak. DeQuan Hicks scored 22 points, Zikiteran Woodley added 17 and eight rebounds, Sabri Thompson had 13 points, and Brison White had 11.

Northwestern State (3-3) trailed until midway through the first half, taking its first lead on a Thompson 3-pointer to make it 23-20 and held on to take a 53-46 advantage at the break. The Demons again had to battle back in the second half, recapturing the lead on a Marvin Frazier layup to make it 81-79, and then pulled away.

Antoine Mason, the nation's leading scorer, led the Purple Eagles (1-6) with 33 points, his sixth 30-plus game this season.
