LEWISTON, N.Y. -- Antoine Mason pumped in a season-high 35 points and Niagara scored 46 second-half points to come from behind and defeat St. Peter's 61-56 on Sunday.

Mason -the current NCAA scoring leader at 28.8 ppg-made 13-of-24 shots (54 percent) from the field and paced Niagara (2-8, 0-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) in a convincing second half performance. Rayvon Harris added 10 points and eight rebounds.

St. Peter's (2-6, 0-1 MAAC) shot only 26 percent (8-31) in the first half, however Niagara fared worse, shooting just 22 percent (6-27) and trailed the Peacocks 23-15 at the break.

It took Niagara nearly 18 minutes to climb back into the game and tie it at 56 on a Marvin Jordan 3. Mason backed that with another big 3-pointer and two free throws giving Niagara an 8-0 run and the win in the final two minutes.

Desi Washington scored 16 points for St. Peters.
