HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Four McGlynn hit four straight and Towson converted 9 of 12 free throw attempts in the final 1:12 to hold off Hofstra, 83-77 Saturday.

In winning their fourth straight and 20th overall, the Tigers built their six-point advantage in the first half and led by as many as 14 in the second. Towson now has won the most games in a season since going 21-9 in 1993-94. With two games remaining in the regular season, Towson sits two games behind conference-leading Delaware and holds a two-game lead on third-place William & Mary.

Jerrelle Benimon hit 7 of 10 from the field, including a 3-pointer, and grabbed six rebounds to lead Towson (20-9, 11-3 Colonial) with 22 points. Rafriel Guthrie and Mike Burwell added 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Zeke Upshaw scored 33 points to lead Hofstra (8-21, 4-10). Dion Nesmith added 14 points and Moussa Kone pulled down 12 rebounds.
