CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Siyani Chambers tossed in 15 points and Harvard collected its 23rd win of the season, the second highest win total in program history, by routing Cornell, 72-47 Friday night.
Harvard (23-4, 10-1 Ivy) matched the win total of the 2010-11 team. The record for most wins in a regular season is 26, set by the 2011-12 squad. The Crimson have three games remaining, including a rematch with Yale at New Haven. Conference-leading Harvard lost to Yale at home, but holds a two-game lead on the Eli.
The Crimson shot 51.1 percent while the defense held the Big Red to just 18 made field goals on 46 attempts (39.1 percent).
Darryl Smith had 14 points to lead Cornell (2-23, 11-10).
