BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Clancy Rugg scored 19 points and Ethan O'Day 12 points and 10 rebounds as America East leader Vermont defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 76-52 on Saturday.

The Catamounts also scored 15 second-chance points with the help of 12 offensive rebounds. They held a 31-24 advantage on the boards.No UMBC player scored in double figures with Rodney Elliott finishing with nine points. David Kadiri grabbed 11 rebounds. The Retrievers shot 32.7 percent and only hit 4 of 22 3-point attempts for 18.2 percent.Vermont led the entire way and was up 37-21 at halftime. The Catamounts lead twice reached 30 points in the second half.The Catamounts made 13 steals in winning their sixth straight game.
