DAYTON, Ohio -- A.J. Pacher scored 14 points and tied a career-high with nine rebounds as Wright State beat Bowling Green 46-43 Sunday.
Miles Dixon's layup gave Wright State (8-7) a 45-39 lead with 4:09 remaining and its only other point the rest of the way came when Dixon hit the first of two free throws 4 minutes later. Richaun Holmes scored the final eight points for Bowling Green, but missed a potentially game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Wright State struggled shooting the basketball, hitting 18 of 49 (36.7 percent) from the field and 10 of 17 (58.8 percent) from the free throw line while missing all 13 of their 3-point shots.
Pacher's three-point play with 11:23 to play gave Wright State its biggest lead of the game, 37-24, but a 15-5 run by the Falcons (6-6) trimmed their deficit to four with 4:30 left.
Holmes finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
