Both teams traded turnovers, and Kendrick Perry missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer for YSU with 6 seconds remaining to seal it for the Crusaders.Alec Peters made five 3-pointers on his way to 22 points to lead Valparaiso (17-12, 9-5 Horizon League), which bounced back after having lost to league-leading Green Bay on Thursday night. LaVonte Dority scored 15 points and Capobianco finished with eight.Ryan Weber scored a career-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting for Youngstown State (15-14, 6-8). Kamren Belin scored 14 and Hain added 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Penguins, who have lost 12 straight games at Valparaiso.
