BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Tim Williams scored a career-high 27 points while Isaiah Williams added a career-high 26 of his own to lead Samford to a 79-68 win over NAIA Campbellsville Friday night.

The Bulldogs (2-6) closed the first half on a 15-6 run to gain a 47-31 lead. Isaiah Williams hit two 3-pointers during the run.

Campbellsville would not let Samford pull away. A'Darius Pegues sparked a 10-2 run to start the second half, and the Tigers clawed their way as close as five points after a Miles Rice jumper with 4:42 left.

However, Tim Williams scored a dunk, layup and two free throws as Samford pushed the lead back to 74-63, and the Bulldogs coasted to the win.

Tim Williams shot 11 of 14 from the field while Isaiah Williams finished 9 of 11, including 5 of 5 on 3's.

Jordan Myers led the Tigers with 18 points while Pegues scored 14.
