GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Jeremy Ingram hit 8 of 16 field goal attempts to score 30 points and lead North Carolina Central to a 73-55 victory over North Carolina A&T Saturday night.

Alfonzo Houston added 21 points for NCCU (21-5, 12-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). The Eagles, who have now won 13 straight, remain alone atop the conference standings.

NCCU's defense stymied North Carolina A&T in the early going as they struggled to get into double digits at the midway point of the first period. The Aggies did come back, pulling within 34-23 at the half and closed to 37-30 with 17:19 remaining. North Carolina A&T stayed within striking distance, trailing 55-46 with 7:02 to play after Ahmad Abdullah hit a 3-point shot. NC Central responded with five unanswered points and went on to take a commanding 66-47 lead.

Lamont Middleton and Bruce Beckford had 15 points apiece to lead the Aggies (8-20, 4-9).
