MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- DeMarcus Robinson scored 17 points, all in the first half, and led four teammates in double-figure scoring as Alabama State defeated NAIA Mobile 88-58 on Wednesday night.
With Alabama State leading by 12 at halftime, Mobile's Julien Sargent scored eight to open the second half, but the Rams (1-2) could only get as close as 55-44. Cody Scott led Mobile with 13 points and Sargent finished with 12.
Alabama State hit 34 of 60 shots from the field, forced 19 turnovers and out-rebounded Mobile 35-26. The Hornets also blocked four shots -- two by Brandon Graham and one each from Strong and Luther Page.
