ELON, N.C. -- Lucas Troutman scored 19 points and was just one of six Elon players to hit double digits Tuesday night to defeat Georgia State 90-85.
Troutman made a layup with 33 seconds to play to give Elon (3-4) an 86-82 lead. Jack Isenbarger made four free throws to seal the victory in the final game of the NIT Season Tipoff.
Ryan Harrow scored a career-high 34 points for the Panthers, making 13 of 26 shots. Georgia State (2-4) went on a 10-1 run to take a one-point lead with 8:24 to play, but a pair of 3-pointers by the Phoenix put them back in the lead. Elon made eight 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 15 total, shooting 62.5 percent from behind the arc. The Panthers shot 10 of 17 from 3-point range.
