DURHAM, N.C. -- Coming off an 11-day holiday break, No. 3 Duke didn't show much rust against Old Dominion.

Tricia Liston had 17 points, all in the first half, and Elizabeth Williams had 12 points and 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season as the Blue Devils beat the Monarchs 87-63 on Thursday night.

Freshman Oderah Chidom had 13 points and Alexis Jones 12 to help Duke (13-1) win its 64th straight against unranked teams at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

"It was a really good game for us, and I was really proud of the bench -- 33 points against their 19," Duke coach Joanne P. McCallie said. "Elizabeth's energy was fantastic. She could have gone forever tonight. She was aggressive and demanding of the ball.

"I think they're excited. If you get proper rest (over a break), there's not that much of a challenge. I thought that we've had a great schedule. I'm really proud of this team -- No. 1 RPI and No. 1 strength of schedule -- that's the 'number ones' we care about right now."

Tiffany Minor scored 20 points to lead Old Dominion (6-7), and LaQuanda Younger added in 15.

"Our team showed a lot of toughness today," said Monarchs coach Karen Barefoot, whose team also lost to Duke's fellow ACC members Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. "Duke plays hard, they're well-coached and they've got great players.

"We weren't perfect, but we play hard, we scrapped and executed. We just tried to focus on the defensive end. We knew we were going to be outmatched, and they had a lot of weapons."

Duke shot 60 percent, compared to Old Dominion's 46.2, and outrebounded the Monarchs 47-24.

Williams finished with four blocks, extending her streak of games with at least one block to 84.

"I'm just trying to be consistently aggressive," Williams said. "That's what I've been trying to do on a more consistent basis."

The Blue Devils led 45-32 at halftime after shooting 62.1 percent -- their best for a half this season -- compared to Old Dominion's 42.4 percent.

Duke junior Ka'lia Johnson finished with season highs of seven points, six rebounds and two steals in 18 minutes.

"When I get my chance, I always focus on defensive rebounding," Johnson said. "I know if I have an open shot I'm going to take it, but I want to get that stop and that key rebound to give us the momentum on defense."

The Blue Devils took the lead for good at 4-2 on Liston's 3-pointer in the opening minute of the game. Another 3 by Liston gave Duke's its largest lead of the first half at 38-23 with 3:40 to go.

Old Dominion pulled within six at 2:16 on the third of Younger's consecutive 3-pointers, but Duke recovered for the double-digit halftime advantage.

"I can't take the credit for my shots," Younger said. "Yes, they were open, but look who made them open. We have great point guards. That's basically the reason I knocked down the shots."

The Blue Devils' biggest lead was 87-61 on Richa Jackson's 3-pointer with 45 seconds left.
