Research Notes
Jay Cutler targeted Brandon Marshall 17 times on Sunday, who caught 12 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown. Marshall's 17 targets were his most in a game since Week 3 of 2010, when he (as a Dolphin) caught 10-of-17 targets for 166 yards and a touchdown in a 31-23 loss to the Jets.
The Bears sent four or fewer pass rushers on 15-of-19 dropbacks in the first half and 13-of-17 dropbacks in the second half. Though he faced added pressure at about the same small rate, Gabbert was horrible over the final two quarters after a competent opening half. Gabbert threw a pair of touchdowns against added pressure in the second half- to the Bears. [+]Blaine Gabbert vs 4 or Fewer Pass Rushers, Sunday vs Bears

The Jaguars sent four or fewer rushers on 29 of Jay Cutler's 39 attempts, and Cutler largely kept his throws short (23 of his 29 throws under 10 yards downfield against four or fewer rushers). The results were positive for Jacksonville, but the Jaguars were burned when sending extra pass rushers after Cutler. Cutler threw seven of his 10 attempts at least 10 yards downfield and connected for both of his passing touchdowns against added pressure. [+]Jay Cutler by Pass Rushers, Sunday vs Jaguars

The Bears sent four or fewer pass rushers on 28 of Blaine Gabbert's 33 dropbacks Sunday (84.8 percent). Gabbert completed just 13-of-26 passes for 130 yards with two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns) and two sacks (one fumbled and recovered by the Bears). Entering Week 5 the Bears led the NFL in interceptions and sacks when sending four or fewer pass rushers.
