The Texans lost Torrey Smith in coverage, and the Ravens WR ended up wide open in the end zone, where Joe Flacco connected with him for a career-high ninth receiving TD of the year for Smith, cutting Houston's lead to 16-7.

The Bears lead the Lions 14-10 with both Chicago TDs coming off of Detroit punt miscues. The first TD came after a muffed punt and the second was set up by a Detroit roughing the kicker penalty.

A comparison of QBs in the Lions-Bears game today:

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: 16-of-26 for 189 yards, 2 INT, 51.6 rating
  • Bears' Jimmy Clausen: 19-of-29, 156 yards, 2 TD, 102.1 rating

Drew Brees is just 9-of-17 today for 84 yards, including 0-of-4 on passes to Jimmy Graham, who entered the game as the Saints' leading pass catcher with 73 receptions.

The Bucs stop the Packers on 4th-and-goal as Green Bay attempted to go up 17-3. Instead, Tampa Bay gets the ball on downs at the 1.

Joe Flacco was just 3-18 (16.7% completion percentage) in the first half. That's the worst completion percentage in a half for any QB in 2014 (min. 10 attempts).

Johnny Manziel left late in the first half with a hamstring injury and Brian Hoyer remains under center as the Browns take the field for the second half, trailing the Panthers, 10-3.

No yardwork getting done

There were plenty of teams around the league that struggled to move the ball in the first half:

  • Buccaneers: 76 total yards vs. Packers
  • Browns: 68 total yards vs. Panthers
  • Patriots: 52 total yards vs. Jets
  • Ravens: 41 total yards vs. Texans
