HISTORY:

Ground breaking took place Jan. 17, 2004, and the $365 million opened for business April 4, 2006. Designed by HOK Sport and built by Hunt Construction, it is the third ballpark in St. Louis to carry the name Busch Stadium. Sportsman's Park was renamed Busch Stadium in 1953, after team owner Gussie Busch. The first Busch closed in 1966, and both the baseball Cardinals, and the NFL's St. Louis Cardinals moved to a new, multi-purpose stadium, named Busch Memorial Stadium. (Busch Memorial Stadium was razed in late 2005.) The playing field at the current Busch Stadium is bluegrass and the outfield wall is 8 feet high.

Soak up the scene:

"Meet me at the Musial statue!" That's a common phrase for Cardinals fans and others headed to Busch Stadium. The statue of Cardinals great Stan Musial sits outside Gate 3 of this new park, which kept the same name as the old one and is also downtown in sight of the Arch. Will Call:

Paid tickets may be picked up with a valid photo ID at any open ticket window. Complimentary tickets are left at the Special Services window located between Gates 3 and 4. These windows open two hours before game time and close one hour after game time. Any tickets not picked up will be held at the Late Will Call Window.
