ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Dream have acquired guard Jasmine Thomas from Washington in a trade that sends the Mystics first- and second-round picks in the 2013 WNBA draft.
Atlanta also receives Washington's second-round pick, No. 13 overall, in this year's draft. The first-round pick acquired by the Mystics is No. 7 overall. The second-round pick acquired by Washington is No. 19 overall.
Thomas, a former Duke standout, averaged 8.2 points last season, her second in the league. She started 23 of Washington's 34 games.
Dream coach and general manager Fred Williams says the 5-foot-9 Thomas will help Atlanta's transition game with her "athletic ability to get to the basket."
