Connecticut remained No. 1 in The Associated Press poll Monday after cruising to two more victories.

The Huskies routed both Temple and Cincinnati to improve to 23-0 this season. UConn will host SMU and No. 4 Louisville this week with the game against the Cardinals on Sunday a rematch of last season's national championship game.

Notre Dame, Stanford, Louisville and Duke round out the first five teams.

The Irish (21-0) also remain unbeaten after topping both Maryland and Duke on the road in the past week. The Blue Devils fell two spots to No. 5 after the loss.

South Carolina, Baylor, Tennessee, Penn State and Maryland follow Duke.

Nebraska and Michigan State re-entered the Top 25 at No. 22 and 24. Florida State and Iowa State fell out.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
