Brittney Griner has record 8th dunk

HONOLULU -- Brittney Griner broke the NCAA women's record with her eighth career dunk during Baylor's game against UT Martin on Saturday night.
Griner broke away from a double-team less than seven minutes into the game, dribbled once and threw down the dunk to put the top-ranked Lady Bears up 18-13.
The one-handed dunk moved Griner past Tennessee's Candace Parker for the most slam dunks in women's NCAA history. Griner dunked four times as a freshman, once as a sophomore and twice in last season's NCAA tournament.
The dunk came as Baylor looked to bounce back from a Friday loss to No. 4 Stanford that broke their 42-game winning streak.
Griner also passed 2,500 career points in the game.
Only five other players beside Griner and Parker have dunked in a women's game.
