Baylor still No. 1 in AP Top 25 poll
Baylor remained No. 1 in The Associated Press women's basketball poll for a seventh straight week as a showdown against third-ranked Connecticut loomed Monday night.

The Lady Bears, backed by Brittney Griner's 3,000th career point, beat the Huskies, 76-70, to push their win streak to 23.
Baylor routed Texas Tech and TCU and have 36 straight Big 12 regular-season victories. Baylor has already clinched the conference's regular-season title.
The Lady Bears received 38 first-place votes, while UConn received the other two.
The first six stayed unchanged with Notre Dame still ranked second. Stanford, Duke and California are after UConn.
The Golden Bears were followed by Penn State, while Maryland and Kentucky were tied for eighth. The Wildcats beat No. 10 Texas A&M on Monday night.
Nebraska and Wisconsin-Green Bay entered the Top 25, taking the final two spots in the poll. Oklahoma and Iowa State dropped out.
